Well, I’m definitely feeling more positive today than I have in the past couple of days 🙂 Ellie is making great progress (still) towards coming home! Today they put her on an ad lib feeding schedule, so she technically can eat whenever she wants (within reason) but so far she’s sticking to her normal 3 hours. She’s also taking almost all of every bottle – which is great! She’s doing so well today they took out her feeding tube – fingers crossed it stays out.

Look Mom – no tube!

The other thing she did today was pass her car seat test! They put her in her car seat for 90 minutes and she maintained all of her stats just fine. She didn’t like it after about an hour (she started grunting and getting fussy) and I don’t blame her, she was definitely scrunched down in a way that looked uncomfortable. But, she can safely come home, and that’s what matters. Here’s our tiny girl in a giant car seat (look at her hands – they’re saying leave me alone!):

Fingers, toes and whatever else you can think of crossed that she continues to eat well today and that her stats continue to be good. If those things happen, I have a feeling they may talk about setting a discharge date soon!!!!!
