A quick update on what the girl has been up to lately.
First – Valentine’s Day! We only have a couple first holidays left. Sigh. Ellie made us a valentine at school, which I thought was very nice of her.
Ellie is going through another mental growth spurt right now, which is fun and annoying. Fun because she’s starting to figure out how to do some new things – like pull herself up on things (see, she’s not behind, she’s just a preemie).
Today she even took a couple crawls (is that a word?) on her hands and knees, before dropping and returning to her much faster army crawl. She also like to crawl over, and through things. Like the kitty house:
The annoying part comes in that learning all these new things tends to interrupt her sleep, and make her overall a little crabbier. It gets harder to deal with the lack of sleep the further she gets from her newborn days. Good thing she’s cute.
Otherwise we’re still just waiting for winter to end. It’s almost the end of February so hopefully Spring is somewhere in sight. Until it gets here, I’ll just put Ellie in bright happy clothes to pretend 🙂
