This last week has held a lot of adventures for our little Ellie (hence the long time between posts.) So much so it’s tired her out:

It started last weekend when we attended her Aunt’s Bridal shower. The first big part was that it was the longest car ride she’s ever had (an hour each way) not to mention a whole lot of her family was in attendance and wanted to say hi. She handled the noise, people and car ride really well – better than I thought she would. I handled it pretty well too – better than I thought I would 🙂 I feel like there’s always one person at a shower that has a baby, and they spend the whole time attending to said baby – this time that was me. That was sort of weird. I’m now officially a person with a child at events like this. It was also the first big family event where I had a kid in tow, and that was also strange. Not bad, just something to get used to 🙂  I sadly didn’t take any pictures of her in her cute little party dress (my hands were a little busy), but this one will do:

Then on Sunday we took a family trip to Target and Kroger – it was her first trip to Target, but it definitely won’t be her last 🙂 I have to admit, it takes so long shopping with her (both the packing up and the fact that we move slower) I’m not 100% sure it’s worth it yet, but at least we know we can do it. I didn’t take a picture of that either sadly, so here’s another bonus photo:

The last adventure for this week is I took Ellie into work today to visit with my team and work friends. This was another long car ride and a bunch of new people that wanted to say hi, but she did great! It was nice to see everyone and everyone liked seeing her 🙂 She is the cutest baby after all! She actually slept in the car on the ride home. She still fusses whenever the car stops, but she doesn’t really scream the whole time, so hopefully that will help encourage me to take her out a little more during the day – we’ll see. By the time we got home, she was sleepy:

Developmentally, this kid keeps moving forward. She smiles a lot now, which is the cutest thing ever:

She’s also starting to make new sounds. She’s starting using the ‘ooooh’ sound this week which is good. Hopefully she’ll start opening her little fists more soon.

We’re pretty sure this kiddo went through a growth spurt again this week. She spent a few days pretty much just sleeping and eating (and being fussy when she wasn’t doing one of the two. We now have a giant baby. Seriously, look at the legs on this girl – she almost fills up her changing table:

She’s also getting closer to grabbing at toys. When I show them to her, she seems to swing her arm towards them the first time she sees it (then doesn’t, so makes me question whether it’s a fluke or not, but then she does it again later in the day…I don’t know.) So we try to show her toys a few times a day to help her get there:

The other thing this week is it was cold, and we only have a few outfits that aren’t sleeveless dresses, so here they are:
