Another busy, but good, week.
Last weekend we headed down for Ellie’s cousin’s second birthday party. She had a good time hanging out with her family. It also got me thinking about how we’re going to have to worry about things like birthday parties before we know it!
She enjoyed the party so much she napped through a lot of it:
We got some landscaping done this week – here’s Ellie ready to go outside and check it out with her Dad.
I also just got her some sunglasses – they’re still a little big, but so cute:
I’m starting to get sad this week. I have to go back to work in two weeks. I’m already crying about it. We went to our daycare center today so I could actually see it (Clark went when I was on bed rest) and get our questions answered, figure out what we need to bring, etc. They seem like really nice people. I know she’s going to make friends and get to do more activities and crafts and things than we would do at home but…..I’m really gonna miss her. We’ve gone through so much to get her here I’m just really sad to have to spend so much time away from her. I’m hoping after I see how well she does and realize how nice it is to talk to adults again for a few hours a day I won’t be so sad. I’ll just be glad to come home to this face:
In happier news, Ellie is heading into her next ‘brain spurt’ over the next week or so and I can already see her making progress. She’s been staring at her hand more over the last day or two like ‘oh, I’ve been chewing on this…is it attached?’
Also, today, she reached out and grabbed a toy for the first time! She’s punched at them before but today she actually looked at it, reached out and grabbed on to it. I wasn’t sure if it was a fluke so I took it from her and she did it again! Of course, she wouldn’t do it for her Dad later, but I was glad I got to be there to see it.
And some more photos for this week:
Trying out the Bumbo. Made it about a minute, but she looked happy:
Chillin’ on a randomly hot day:
Baby in a hoodie with ears!
We missed the picture of Ellie in the Bumbo seat we gifted! Yay for the one minute back then!
